Matching your engagement invites to your wedding invites

Many brides ask us if the engagement card should match the wedding invitation. As I always say, there is no rules and it is a matter of taste rather than etiquette and what experts advise. But at Invitations by Tango we like the different components of a set, coordinated in some way. It can be the consistency of the font used, maybe the colours if you have made a decision about these ones, or the card used or something that your eye can put together as part of the same visual system, the same wedding. When you ask us our recommendation, we always say that we like a simple wedding engagement card but with a hint of ​​what is coming next., visualise or introducing to the event along with a theme or style. That's my preference. It could be having the engagement or save the card showing a little piece of paper that you will later use for your wedding invitations, or a style of card (i.e. laser cut cards), or a theme printed somewhere on the card. Later when you order the invitations, you can show the fullness of the theme, the colours and the chosen papers or styles.
