BOHO OR BOHEMIAN CHIC WEDDING INVITATIONS
BOHO + BOTANICAL WEDDINGS
A new trend or an old reinvented concept? We have already talked a little about the original rustic country theme, and its transcendence towards a more elegant theme in garden settings as opposed to barn venues. The latter garden settings show less country-themed elements, however the ceremonies and receptions have a more refined rustic glam vibe. The bohemian or boho wedding could diverge from the previous rustic trend, or again, could be a more refined version of the pure bohemian theme. Currently many of the boho weddings in Australia are incorporating soft touches of bohemian culture, such as dried flowers, gorgeous wedding gowns and outdoor dreamy arrangements, in an elegant, classy way.
Inspired originally by weddings in Byron Bay, pure bohemian has been in Vogue for years. Saying that, you do not have to get married in Byron Bay, or any hinterland area, to have a boho wedding. We have made invitations for bohemian weddings in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, the Tweed area, The Gold Coast and Adelaide. Boho weddings are blooming in the cities or in the outskirts and the vibe is unique.
The boho mix:
This year the theme boomed. Nature lovers love bohemian weddings, for their simplicity, harmony and beauty. The ceremonies are generally done outdoors in fields or the forest. A common transport for the arrival of the bride and groom is the traditional hippie old van type. Gorgeous flower crowns for the bride and bridesmaids' to adorn their hair. Hats and 2/3 length pants for the grooms, many botanical details and the absence of strict regulations are present in most boho weddings.
As for invitations, there is a trend towards the inclusion of printed flowers in marsala, beige, old pink and touches of green. The rustic tones, terracotta and peach look also gorgeous reflecting the dried foliage bouquet trend being the Pampas Grass one of the most trendy florals for boho wedding..
Some weddings have begun to require pampas grass decoration, which looks stunning on a wall, ceremony archway, or floral centrepieces. The invitations with pampas grass have been very popular this year, as well as the use of dried flowers with a small wax seal to close the invitations.
Kraft paper is always a favourite, just like vellum.
Decoration and etiquette: It is very common for everyone to sit where they want. Usually place cards are not required. A welcome sign is a beautiful touch. I personally like beautiful and colourful cushions on the lawn, or rented sofas outdoors. It is undoubtedly one of the most popular themes this year in Australia, UK and United States.
